Although the MCS is essentially devoted to practical mosquito control,
to reduce the nuisance, the rapid evolution of techniques as well
as the advances in our understanding of the mosquito means that
some of our work is devoted to scientific research and technical
support. This knowledge has to be adapted to the local conditions.
Additionally, as a public organization the MCS also provides solutions
to various environmental and pest control issues when required by
other public bodies.
Therefore, and in common with many other organizations of its
kind worldwide, the MCS carries out research on topics related to
its activities and functions. |
